Lynn Laughter has been an independent financial advisor since 1998 and has been managing investments since 1993. She holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 securities registrations. She is also an insurance agent and has licenses in several states for life, accident and sickness, and variable contracts.
Lynn graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations. She earned her MBA from Northwestern University’s prestigious Kellogg Graduate School of Management with concentrations in finance and accounting.
Giving back to her community is a top priority in Lynn’s life. She devotes a significant amount of time to numerous organizations. Lynn was on the Whitfield Board of Commissioners for four years and was elected as the first female chairman from 2016 through 2020.
Lynn and her husband, Ben, have been married since August 1972 and have three married children: Jud, Mark, and Mary Lynn. They have six grandchildren whom they absolutely adore. Lynn’s hobbies include walking for fitness, UNC basketball, watching movies, reading, and spoiling her grandchildren.

Rebecca has been with Laughter & Jones Financial Management since 2015. She has her bachelor’s degree in business from Mars Hill College in North Carolina, where she met her husband, Scott, who just happens to be Lynn Laughter’s first cousin. Small world!
Before coming to work for Lynn and Miller, Rebecca was a consultant for a medical compliance company for 17 years, working closely with highly sensitive information. Prior to this, she was the manager of a medical supply company in Asheville, North Carolina.
Rebecca and Scott have been married since May 1987 and have three sons: Blakley (Blake), Thomas, and William. Rebecca’s father, Jim Chamblee, still lives in Dalton and is one of the main reasons they moved back from North Carolina. She enjoys spending time with her family and is happiest when she has her family all together. She also enjoys hanging out with friends and cooking. Out of all the jobs she has had throughout her lifetime, she will quickly tell you that raising three children has been the best job she has ever had!
